Eastern PA EMS Council and Eastern PA MedCom turn to CTL and TuWay Communications for Network Management
BETHLEHEM, PA (October 17, 2016) -- The Eastern Pennsylvania EMS Council and Eastern PA MedCom, both based in Orefield, PA, recently moved the monitoring and management of their IT networks to Computing Technologies, LLC (CTL), a Strategic Business Partner of TuWay Communications. "This was a big deal for us," said John Kloss, Executive Director of the EMS Council, "We had been with our previous vendor for quite some time, and both the Council and MedCom are involved with the dissemination of information critical to Public Safety operations in the region. Therefore, the integrity and uptime of both networks is paramount." he added.
"We had seen a degradation in overall service and response times from our previous vendor, and felt it was time to look at other options," said Robert Kempf, Buisness Manager for the EMS Council. "However, it is not easy to find a vendor who understands the critical nature of our operations, and who also understands the demarcation between the Council and MedCom who are separate and distinct fiscal entities."
Enter TuWay Communications and their strategic partner, CTL. TuWay designed, built and has been maintaining MedCom's six county microwave and radio communications network for the past two decades. Said Mr. Kempf, "TuWay has always been a trusted partner to MedCom, providing exceptional customer service. In particular the President, Bill Landis, brings integrity, dedication and passion to the industry that is not easily found in the business today. When we discovered that, through their partnership with CTL, we could essentially have a 'One-Stop-Shop' for all of our network management needs, it made a difficult decision much easier."
After a successful "on-boarding" process, CTL integrated the EMS Council and MedCom's networks into their new Network Support Center (NSC), located at TuWay's facility in Bethlehem. Through the NSC, network performance will be monitored 24x7x365. Technicians employed by both CTL and TuWay stand ready to resolve any issues that arise, responding to critical incidents in as little as two hours.
