When Lehigh County’s Hanover Township needed to upgrade an outdated and failing video surveillance system that covered 8 properties, they turned to us to get the job done on time and on budget.
A complete overhaul.
The existing video surveillance system was plagued with problems stemming from outdated equipment. They also needed to expand the system to cover more facilities with more cameras including administrative and maintenance sites, plus public parks and recreation areas. They also wanted to boost efficiency and performance by incorporating AI capabilities and other advanced technology.
How we helped.
After Hanover Township selected us through the PEPPM and PA Co-Stars purchasing platforms, we got to work. We choose the Vicon Valerus IP Video Surveillance Platform with Vicon 5-mega pixel cameras including some with AI for rapid archive searches. Additionally, a Network Video Recorder was installed at each of the locations and connected to the township’s internal network, commercial cable modem and wireless links. Staff use an app to remotely access the NVRs to view live or watch archive video. Video is stored for a predetermined period and selected video can be downloaded for investigative and legal purposes. There’s a 5-year equipment warranty and our own 1-year warranty covering parts and labor on all other system components and installation workmanship.
You guys did everything the right way. I always knew where you were and what you were doing. We do not get this from other vendors.
